A User-Friendly Approach to Healthcare Access

LifeHealth is a personal redesign project focused on making healthcare more accessible, streamlining the appointment booking process, and enhancing ease of navigation. Designed in Figma, this landing page combines clarity and simplicity with engaging design elements.

User Research:

• I reviewed common healthcare websites to identify user needs, specifically focusing on ease of booking, service accessibility, and user engagement. Key takeaways emphasized the importance of a welcoming layout, simplified navigation, and prominent contact options.

Design Challenges:

• The main challenge was designing a straightforward booking section that felt integrated yet prominent within a limited landing page space. Another challenge was presenting healthcare information in an organized way that didn’t overwhelm the user.

Design Process:

• The design process involved wireframing and prototyping the hero and booking sections, ensuring that both were intuitive and visually appealing. Each section was crafted to provide clear guidance, with additional elements like doctor bios and testimonials to build trust and engagement.

Usability Testing:

• Testing revealed areas for improvement, such as adjusting button sizes and clarifying the booking form. Refinements based on feedback made the interface even more intuitive, particularly for first-time visitors.

Final Design:

• The completed landing page features a welcoming hero section with the message “Your Health, Our Priority.” The service overview, team introductions, and patient testimonials make navigating healthcare options seamless and engaging.

Results:

• The redesign increased user engagement through added sections like blogs and testimonials, while the streamlined booking process minimized the steps needed to schedule an appointment. Accessibility features, including larger fonts and high-contrast colors, improved usability for a diverse audience.

Learnings:

• This project underscored the importance of balancing accessibility and design aesthetics in healthcare. Moving forward, I will apply these insights to create more inclusive, user-centered solutions.
